Who is Burak Pehlivan ?

Burak Pehlivan is the chairman of the Turkish Ukrainian Business Association(TUİD) since 2016. In 2019, he was elected as the president of the Türkonfed International, which unites 21 Turkish business associations in 72 countries under the umbrella of Türkonfed, and was re-elected this post in 2022. He has served as board member of International Council of Business Associations and Chambers in Ukraine(ICBAC) since 2017, which unites the business associations and chambers in Ukraine, from the top 10 largest investor countries. In his daily job, he is the founder and member of the board of the engineering and mobile cranes and manlifts supply company Politek Impex, which is market leader in Ukraine. He also founded renewable energy investment company Inventerra in 2017, which invests to construction of solar power plants in Ukraine. He is a graduate of Istanbul Boy’s High School and holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from Istanbul Technical University. With 20 years of experience working in Central and Eastern European and CIS countries, Pehlivan has written more than a thousand articles, reports and analyses on Ukraine, Turkish-Ukrainian relations and Central and Eastern European countries.

 

He participates as a speaker and an expert at conferences, round tables and forums organized such institutions like EBRD, UNDP, USAID, and World Bank on development policies, Ukraine, Turkish-Ukrainian economic relations, free trade and PPP.
